My Name is Dan Brawner
Author, newspaper writer, blogger, publisher, and more.
I’m glad you decided to join me here at Book-n-Blog.com. And if you are here, then you must be as interested in books, writing and reading as I am.
I guess my first reading (sort of), like millions of other kids, was comic books. You know, Superman, Batman, Spiderman, etc. From there I went to the standard picture books. Then in the second grade I began trying to write some things and from that point on, I was off and running.
That was over 65 years ago. Now at 74 I am still writing as this info attests. And I am also still reading, many things every day.
To tell you a little more about myself, I have been married to Mary Jane (Janie) for 55 years. We were not blessed with children, but have many nieces and nephews and have had a succession of dogs over the decades.
I owned a number of (appropriately) print shops for some years. I was also a sports editor writing articles and columns for various newspapers. In that time I won some 60 awards (18 first place) from the Arkansas Press Association.
The one thing I am most proud of, though, other than my marriage, is the fact that I am a Baptist Pastor and have been for nearly thirty years.
Anyway, that’s a little about me. I hope you enjoy the site and take advantage of the various free publications at Book-n-Blog.com. Of course, it wouldn’t bother me a bit if you decide to purchase a book or two.
